How We Were Founded
Eighteen years ago, Miss Stacy embarked on a quest to find a suitable dance studio for her then three-year-old daughter. Her aim was to discover a nurturing environment where her daughter could cultivate a love for dance, develop essential balance and coordination skills, all while having the opportunity to observe her daughter's progress firsthand. However, her search revealed a lack of options catering to younger dancers, with classes often too rigid in structure and parents prohibited from observing. This situation left Miss Stacy disheartened, especially considering her daughter's shyness, which further compounded her reluctance to return.
Several years later, recognizing the unmet demand for a more inclusive program, Miss Stacy, along with her mother, Miss Carol, took matters into their own hands and established the Freckled Frog dance studio, thereby filling a crucial gap in the market. The inspiration behind the name "Freckled Frog" stemmed from Miss Carol's mother's love for frogs, combined with her affection for her dog freckles.
Eight years ago, Miss Stacy's husband Mr. Josh joined the Freckled Frog team as they expanded to three locations, bringing his expertise and passion to further enhance the studio's offerings.
Miss Stacy's own journey took a profound turn when she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at the age of 30. This life-altering experience served as a catalyst, prompting her to reassess her priorities. Realizing that life was too short for a conventional 9-5 job, she and her mother Miss Carol embraced the importance of pursuing one's passion. This pivotal realization fueled their commitment to establishing the Freckled Frog dance studio, where she could channel her love for dance and create a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
While not every child may pursue dance as a lifelong passion, Miss Stacy, Miss Carol and Mr. Josh firmly believe in the far-reaching benefits it offers, enhancing various facets of a child's life as they continue to grow. You don't need to be a twinkle-toed virtuoso to join our ribbitting family, but a heart brimming with love and enthusiasm for children is a must. For our tiniest dancers, aged 2-3, fret not! We'll hop alongside you, guiding you through our enchanting dance curriculum. As for our spirited 4-7-year-olds, if the art of dance isn't your forte, fear not! We encourage you to leap into the joy of hiring a seasoned dance teacher to lead the way through our slightly more intricate moves. So, let's pirouette into a world where every leap and twirl brings smiles as radiant as a frog's freckles!
What's the Cost?
The initial investment costs associated with launching your own Freckled Frog Dance Studio are outlined in our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), and you should carefully review that information to get a good sense of what your start-up budget might look like. The costs of starting and operating a Freckled Frog Dance Studio include an initial (one-time) franchise fee of $42,000, as well as an ongoing monthly royalty fee equal to 5% of your Freckled Frog gross revenue.
